Indulge your senses with a delicious Paloma Classic cocktail…
Possibly the most popular tequila cocktail in Mexico, the history of the refreshing and tasty Paloma can be traced back to one of the oldest bars in the country, situated in the small town of Jalisco that gave its name to this fiery spirit. If you haven’t yet heard of La Capilla, just a sip of this drink and you may find yourself booking the first flight there!
Picture a small, humble cantina on the corner of a cobbled street, where celebrities, rock stars and tequila aficionados flock from all corners of the world to try Don Javier Delgado Corona’s cocktails, which include the classic Paloma, as well as a Coca-Cola, tequila and lime highball known as the Batanga. If you’re lucky enough, the iconic Don Javier (now in his 90s) might even serve you himself. This delicious mixture of bitter grapefruit juice with lime, salt and tequila will awaken your senses and leave you asking for more.
