Paris in Perspective

Fold, crease, and glue your way into a quiet Paris afternoon. This printable street-scene craft is a meditative, screen-free project that plays with perspective and depth, ending with a charming paper vignette that seems to disappear into the distance.

Instructions:

1 Cut out the whole shape along the outer edges from the downloadable PDF.

2 Score along all the red fold lines – these run along the edges of the central square where each of the four panels meets the middle.

3 Fold each of the four panels backwards (away from you) along the scored lines, then crease them forwards and back to loosen the fold.

4 Bring the four panels upward and inward to form an open-ended tunnel box. The central square becomes the back of the tunnel.

5 Apply glue or double-sided tape to the narrow angled tabs on the left and right side panels. Press these firmly against the edges of the top and bottom panels to hold the tunnel together.

6 Once secure, look in through the front opening to see the Parisian street receding into the distance!
